The Rashi School is Greater Boston's Reform Jewish Independent School, serving students in grades Pre-K through 8. Our warm and inclusive community appreciates children for who they are as they learn and develop their identities. With a foundation of rigorous academics and differentiated instruction, our mission is rooted in social justice. We encourage our students to ask tough questions—not just the who, what, and where, but the how, why, and what they can do to fix it. Rashi graduates leave with the confidence to try new things and to fail forward. With kindness at their core, they become empowered learners, change agents, global Jewish citizens, and good friends.
We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Math Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year to join our Lower and Middle School teams. This role exists to ensure that math education meets the unique needs of every student through a strength-based approach. You will partner with teachers to foster an environment that promotes risk-taking, flexibility, adaptability, empathy, and resilience. By modeling these behaviors, you will help students become their best selves in and out of the classroom.
In this position, you will create and maintain a positive, safe, and supportive environment by developing strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Your day will involve providing small group enrichment and support, overseeing AIMSweb testing and progress monitoring in grades K-5, and advising teachers on differentiated instruction. You will also play a key role in the school community by leading Parent-Teacher Conferences, attending Learning Team and Child Study meetings, and contributing to weekly faculty meetings.
We seek to employ faculty and staff with diverse backgrounds who model our core values of respect, learning, community, spirit, and justice. We are committed to building an inclusive community that honors and respects each individual, their varied identities, and their spirit. We seek to listen, learn, and grow together to ensure that we are a place in which all community members can thrive.
