About the Role
The Restaurant Assistant Manager serves as a vital partner to the Restaurant Manager, stepping in to lead daily operations and supervise the team whenever the Manager is absent. This role is designed for a leader who can maintain high brand standards while ensuring every guest leaves satisfied. You will be the face of the restaurant, coaching team members to deliver excellent service and driving a culture of ownership and integrity.
Day in the Life
Your day is a dynamic mix of leadership, operations, and guest interaction. You will start by ensuring the restaurant is clean and ready for service, assigning duties to the team, and verifying that all food preparation meets strict health and safety regulations. Throughout the shift, you will monitor cash and inventory records, resolve any operational discrepancies, and ensure campaign materials are displayed correctly.
Beyond the numbers, you are a coach. You will mentor team members on food safety, cascade new product information, and conduct second interviews for potential hires. Whether managing a rush or handling a stressful situation, you will maintain a contagious positive attitude and a sense of urgency. In the absence of the Restaurant Manager, you will also handle critical administrative tasks, including end-of-shift paperwork, inventory counts, and truck orders, ensuring the restaurant remains profitable and compliant.
