About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role is designed for skilled pilots seeking a dynamic environment where they can utilize their expertise to support national security. You will perform critical duties including air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities targeting smuggled contraband via land, air, or sea. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.
AMO is actively recruiting seasoned pilots and those with military training to fill these full-time, security-based positions. Whether operating manned aircraft or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), you will be part of a mission-critical operation that requires rapid decision-making and precise coordination of aircraft and ground assets.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: U.S. Citizen; Primary U.S. residency for 3 of last 5 years; Age 40 or younger (or veteran preference waiver); FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with specific ratings; 1500 total flight hours (waiver to 1000 possible); and 250 Pilot-in-Command hours.
