About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role is designed for skilled pilots seeking a dynamic environment where they can utilize their expertise to support national security. You will work alongside a dedicated team to conduct air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities against smuggled contraband via land, air, and sea. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Duty Locations
Duty locations are assigned based on operational requirements, mission needs, and critical agency hiring priorities. Successful candidates must be willing to work at any duty location within the region they select. Regions include:
- Southeast Region: Homestead, FL and CAMB (Aguadilla, PR).
- Southwest Region: Tucson and Yuma, AZ; San Diego, CA; El Paso, Laredo, and McAllen, TX.
- NASOC UAS Locations: Sierra Vista, AZ; San Angelo, TX.
A specific duty location will be offered after successfully completing a three-part assessment.

To qualify for the Pilot - CBP Air Interdiction Agent at U.S. Customs and Border Protection position, applicants should have: U.S. Citizen; Primary U.S. residency for 3 of last 5 years; Age 40 or under (or eligible for age waiver); FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with specific ratings; 1500 total flight hours (waiver to 1000 possible); and 250 Pilot-in-Command hours.
