The group is defined by its camaraderie, pride, and a shared purpose to safeguard the nation's borders. AMO offers skilled pilots an opportunity to join a mission-driven law enforcement environment where daily operations focus on the detection, prevention, and interdiction of threats.
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a critical asset in aviation-based law enforcement operations. This role exists to detect, prevent, and apprehend terrorists, weapons, and contraband attempting to illegally enter or attack the United States. You will be part of a security-based team where your expertise in flight operations directly supports the agency's mission.
Your day-to-day activities involve conducting air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled goods via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels. You will monitor behavior patterns of suspect persons and assets, collect and analyze strategic intelligence, and support search and rescue and humanitarian efforts. This is a full-time, security-based opportunity designed for those seeking an exciting and rewarding career with exceptional federal benefits and job stability.
AMO utilizes a streamlined application process for new recruits. There are three primary ways to apply:
Stay Updated: It is highly recommended to opt into CBP's talent repository by selecting the Contact a Recruiter button. Select Air and Marine Operations and Air Interdiction Agent as your position of interest to complete pre-screening questions. This ensures you receive monthly updates regarding webinars, career expos, and future opportunities.
Assessment & Location: Upon successful completion of a three-part assessment, you will receive a final offer letter. Duty locations are assigned based on operational and mission requirements. You must be willing to work at any location within the selected region, which includes the Southeast Region (Homestead, FL; Aguadilla, PR), Southwest Region (AZ, CA, TX), and NASOC UAS locations (AZ, TX).
