About the Role
The Picking Lead plays a vital role in our Earth City, MO facility by supporting daily warehouse picking operations. In this on-site hourly position, you will lead associates to drive productivity, maintain rigorous safety standards, and ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment. You will work closely with warehouse leadership to coordinate workflow, resolve operational issues, and help the team achieve its goals.
Your day will involve directing workflow and assigning tasks based on operational priorities while monitoring the productivity and accuracy of the picking team. You will actively participate in the floor by picking large orders and completing large pallet drops. A key part of your mission is to foster a positive team culture by training and coaching associates on safety, quality, and standard work practices, as well as assisting with the onboarding of new associates and temporary labor.
This role requires a daily presence at our facility from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. You will be regularly exposed to a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment and must be prepared to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers for various tasks.
