About the Role
You will provide direct clinical care to patients within the Primary Care department, serving as a vital link in the veteran healthcare system. This role is designed to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a collaborative environment across the Manchester VA structure and CBOC Clinics.
As a key member of an interdisciplinary team, you will evaluate patients to assess changes in physical and mental status, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and document progress notes in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws. Beyond individual patient care, you will provide clinical guidance to Physician Assistants and other team members, helping to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and programmatic enhancements within the facility.

Hiring Process
The interview process will include a discussion regarding the specific work schedule, which consists of Monday through Friday tours with variable hours. Details regarding executive orders or short-term assignments will also be addressed during this phase.

Compensation and Benefits Overview
This position offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your professional and personal well-being. Eligible candidates may qualify for a Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus) or Relocation Incentive. The role is also eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) to assist with student loan repayment.
Benefits include a competitive salary with annual performance bonuses and regular increases, a traditional federal pension with a 5-year vesting period, and a federal 401(k) with up to 5% contributions. You will receive 50-55 days of paid time off annually, including annual leave, sick leave, and federal holidays, along with possible paid absence for CME. The package also features federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance, as well as free liability protection with tail coverage. Board-certified full-time physicians may receive up to $1,000 per year for CME reimbursement. There is no physician employment contract, and moonlighting is not significantly restricted.
