CHRISTUS St. Vincent is a community-based, private, not-for-profit health system and a Level III Trauma Center. Serving more than 300,000 residents across 19,000+ square miles in seven counties of New Mexico, we are the region's only full-service healthcare provider. Committed to delivering exceptional, personalized care, we offer a broad spectrum of services through our hospital and a network of outpatient clinics with nearly 40 specialty care programs.
Our board-certified orthopedic surgeons and advanced practice clinicians specialize in a broad range of areas, including joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, trauma/fractures, osteoporosis care, and general orthopedic treatment. As a dynamic and collegial team, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of care through evidence-based practices, patient-centered solutions, and a collaborative approach to treatment. Efficiency is a priority, but we never compromise on quality.
Our orthopedic practice is proud to be an ACCREDITED CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR JOINT HEALTH, ensuring that every patient receives exceptional care, with a focus on compassion, individual attention, and high-performance healthcare. We utilize ROSA robots for joint reconstruction and maintain a 1-to-1 physician-to-advanced practitioner ratio to support our providers.
We are looking for a dedicated orthopedic surgeon to join our expanding team and help provide exceptional care to our patients. While we prefer a full-time physician, this role offers the flexibility of less-than-full-time employment, as mutually agreed upon with the employer. The physician in this role will have the opportunity to perform surgical procedures, design and implement individualized treatment plans encompassing preoperative and postoperative care, rehabilitation, and patient education.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver holistic and personalized care, managing approximately 24-28 pre-and post-op patients on clinic days. The position involves participating in monthly total joint committee meetings and providing light practice call (phone-based) with no hospital visits required, featuring 1-week block rotations shared among 18 providers. You will also have the opportunity to mentor family medicine residents during their rotations.
