As the leader of a Care Team, the Essentia Primary Care Physician works alongside MDs, NPs, PAs, RNs, LPNs, and ancillary staff to make a difference for every patient, every time. Utilizing Essentia Care Processes, the physician focuses on improving overall community health by delivering acute, chronic, and preventive healthcare.
Essentia Health Family Medicine operates six facilities in the Fargo and Moorhead area, offering multiple opportunities for practice development. The role provides access to numerous Medical/Surgical specialties within the local Essentia Health network, ensuring comprehensive support for patient needs.
About the Role
This position is based at the West Acres Clinic, centrally located on the border of North Dakota and Minnesota. The Fargo-Moorhead region serves a population of 250,000, with a broader regional service area encompassing 30 clinics and 5 hospitals. The role is situated just 3.5 hours northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
The physician will work full-time, dedicating 36 patient contact hours per week, with an average daily volume of 18-20 patients. The schedule includes a rotating after-hours call obligation. This role is ideal for a Family Medicine physician (Board Certified or Board Eligible) who is not performing obstetrics (no OB) and is eager to lead a collaborative care team in a supportive environment.
