As the leader of a Care Team, the Essentia Primary Care Physician works alongside MDs, NPs, PAs, RNs, LPNs, and ancillary staff to make a difference for every patient, every time. Utilizing Essentia Care Processes, the physician focuses on improving the overall health of the community by delivering acute, chronic, and preventive healthcare.

Essentia Health Family Medicine operates six facilities in the Fargo and Moorhead area, offering multiple opportunities for developing a practice. The network includes 30 clinics and 5 hospitals across a regional service area, with access to numerous medical and surgical specialties locally.

About the Role

This position is based at the West Acres Clinic in Fargo, ND, a city centrally located on the border of North Dakota and Minnesota. The Fargo-Moorhead area has a population of 250,000 and is situated 3.5 hours northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

The role involves full-time practice with 32-36 patient contact hours per week, seeing an average of 16-20 patients daily. Physicians will participate in a rotating after-hours call schedule. While the primary focus is Family Medicine without OB, physicians desiring an OB practice or office procedures are welcomed. The position offers a competitive base compensation of $308,000, with potential for additional bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.
