This Physician Assistant position focuses on delivering comprehensive healthcare services within Pediatric Otolaryngology. The role is designed to support patients through the full spectrum of care, from initial evaluations to post-operative management.
The day-to-day environment is primarily outpatient, with the majority of time spent in the clinic setting. You will obtain comprehensive patient histories, perform physical exams for new and returning patients, and conduct pre-operative, post-operative, and urgent evaluations. While operating room time is limited, you will assist with procedures in both the clinic and the OR, including a dedicated 1-2 month rotation in Waltham.
You will also participate in multidisciplinary clinics, ensuring effective communication across the team. Opportunities exist to order diagnostic tests, issue prescriptions, and engage in departmental educational meetings and research projects.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, structured as four 10-hour shifts from Monday through Friday. The position involves rotating between three clinic locations: North Dartmouth (once per week), Weymouth, and Boston, alongside the scheduled OR rotation.
Candidates must hold a Master of Physician Assistant Studies and possess a current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant. While previous OR experience and prior Otolaryngology or Pediatric experience are strongly preferred, new graduate PAs will be considered.
