The Department of Anesthesiology at Banner University Medical Group Tucson is growing and actively expanding its Community Physician division. This new community-based model focuses on personal performance anesthesia for outpatient surgical cases, distinct from the core faculty division which emphasizes resident education and supervision. The team operates across modern, technologically advanced settings at the Tucson campus, South Tucson campus, and various Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) locations.
Join our clinical anesthesiology team to provide exceptional patient care for a diverse surgical outpatient population. You will support cases in Orthopedics, GI, Ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, Plastics, Urology, and General Surgery. This role is designed for physicians seeking a community-practice model featuring "bread and butter" anesthesiology work with no subspecialty requirements.
The position offers a unique schedule with 100% personal performance cases only. There is no overnight call and no holiday work. Full-time physicians are expected to work 17 shifts per month, though part-time positions are welcome with prorated shift requirements and compensation. The anticipated total annual compensation is $545k, structured as a competitive combination of guaranteed base salary, productivity units, shift differentials, and value bonuses.
