About the Role

The Staff Physical Therapist serves as a vital clinical leader within our facility, dedicated to evaluating and treating patients while fostering a collaborative environment with families, physicians, and the broader health team. This role goes beyond direct patient care; it is essential for maintaining high standards of documentation and ensuring compliance with state practice acts and governmental payer requirements.

In this position, you will develop and implement effective treatment plans, supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and aides, and lead ongoing in-service training programs to elevate the skills of the entire facility staff. You will act as a key liaison during patient care conferences and utilization reviews, ensuring seamless communication regarding patient progress and discharge planning. Additionally, you will guide patients and families through the transition of care by instructing them on maintenance programs and facilitating the acquisition of necessary durable medical equipment to support independence.
