About the Role
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, playing a crucial role in the recovery process of our patients who are recuperating from major illnesses and injuries.
Our setting provides an opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate quick and effective rehabilitation, integrating skills in physical therapy with an understanding of patient needs in inpatient, home health, and hospice environments. You will implement selected components of patient care and intervention plans, document progress, and educate patients and families on treatments and home exercises. The position requires assisting with therapeutic equipment, participating in care meetings to optimize treatments, and maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
