Day in the Life
A typical day involves traveling to various patient residences or facilities to conduct thorough screenings, examinations, and evaluations. Treatment sessions may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and the application of various modalities to address specific impairments.
Beyond direct treatment, the role involves educating patients and caregivers on essential skills for daily living, chronic disease management, and fall prevention. The therapist also adapts treatment plans based on patient progress, performs home and community mobility assessments, and ensures the safety of the treatment environment.
