As a Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) at Ellsworth Air Force Base, you will serve as a critical link between service members, their commanders, and a multidisciplinary team of medical and administrative professionals. This role exists to ensure the seamless processing of disability evaluations and the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) cases for active duty, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard personnel.
In this position, you will guide military personnel, retirees, and their families through complex regulatory processes, ensuring they understand their rights, benefits, and obligations. You will coordinate evaluation appointments, manage medical documentation, and act as a liaison between the service member and stakeholders including the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), Physical Evaluation Board (PEB), and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Your work involves analyzing case data, preparing appeals, and providing essential support to service members and their legal next-of-kin during times of incapacitation or injury.
This position is available for immediate hire upon the successful completion of all required background and security investigations. Candidates selected for this role will be expected to begin their duties as soon as these clearances are finalized.
