About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physiatrist to join our team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate is a board-certified or board-eligible physician with experience in managing patients with a wide range of physical disabilities and chronic conditions. This role focuses on providing rehabilitation and pain consultation services in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), including performing trigger point and joint injections.
What You Will Do
As a Physiatrist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with physical disabilities and chronic conditions. You will develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, monitor and evaluate patient progress, and collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care. Effective communication with patients and their families is essential, as is maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. You will also participate in continuing education and professional development to stay at the forefront of the field.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position offers a supportive and collaborative work environment with flexible hours, allowing you to work when you want. There is no call and no weekends required.
Physically, the role involves prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients, as well as working on a computer. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The role may expose you to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks), and chemical hazards. You must wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per company and/or facility requirements and comply with facility vaccination requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary with the potential to make $350k-$400k. Additional benefits include opportunities for professional development and growth.
