About the Role
As a Rover pet sitter or dog walker, you provide essential care services to pets in your community. This role allows you to operate independently as a pet care provider, and manage your own business as a pet care provider. You have the freedom to set your own rates and manage your schedule through the Rover platform.
Day in the Life
Your day involves providing comprehensive care for pets, which may include dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding pets, refilling water, cleaning litter boxes, and cleaning litter boxes. You are also responsible for picking up waste and providing companionship to the animals in your care. For overnight pet sitting requests, you provide extended care and supervision.
A key part of the role is communication with pet owners. You will send updates and photos to keep owners informed about their pets' well-being while you are caring for them. You manage your own schedules and service rates through the Rover platform, ensuring a professional and reliable experience for both you and the pet owners you serve.
