Job Description
About the Role
As a Rover Pet Sitter or Dog Walker, you provide essential care services to pets in your community. Your role involves a variety of tasks including dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding pets, refilling water, cleaning litter boxes, picking up waste, providing companionship, and offering overnight pet sitting when requested. You serve as a trusted partner to pet owners, ensuring their animals are well-cared for while they are away.
How It Works
You operate independently as a pet care provider through the Rover platform. You have full autonomy to manage your own schedules and set your own service rates. Communication with pet owners is a key part of the role; you are expected to send updates and photos to keep owners informed and connected with their pets during your care.
Earnings and Benefits
Your earnings are typically equivalent to $15–$25+ per hour, though you set your own rates and may earn additional income through tips and holiday bookings. Benefits of working with Rover include flexible scheduling, the ability to set your own rates, customer tips, holiday booking bonuses, and the freedom to operate independently.
