About the Role

This role is for a seasoned Texas plaintiff personal injury paralegal ready to bring 5–7 years of hard-earned experience to a firm where judgment is trusted and work moves cases forward. You will run the litigation file from intake through resolution, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the attorney on a focused caseload of motor vehicle, premises liability, and complex injury matters. This is not a role for a form-filler; you will draft original petitions, discovery, and motions that require a strong command of Texas law and a clear, professional voice. You will be the engine of the file, managing deadlines, organizing case data in Filevine, and coordinating with experts and treating providers to build compelling narratives for demand and trial.

check_circleCalendar and manage litigation deadlines including answer dates, discovery deadlines, and trial settings
check_circleOrganize and summarize medical records, billing, lien information, and wage-loss documentation
check_circleCoordinate with treating providers and experts including life care planners and accident reconstructionists
check_circleHandle e-filing in Texas courts and track service of process including citations and alias citations
check_circlePrepare deposition outlines, witness binders, exhibit lists, designations, and mediation submissions
check_circleOwn file organization in Filevine including phases, tasks, deadline chains, and case-data hygiene
check_circleDraft petitions, discovery requests, responses, motions, subpoenas, and trial pleadings under TRCP and CPRC
check_circleMaintain client communication by returning calls same day and keeping clients informed at every step

Requirements

verified5–7 years of full-time paralegal experience on the plaintiff side of Texas personal injury work
verifiedWorking command of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Texas Rules of Evidence, and CPRC Chapters 16, 33, 41, and 71
verifiedHands-on experience with case management software (Filevine strongly preferred)
verifiedNotary commission (or willingness to become one within 90 days)
verifiedBilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus
verifiedTrial-prep experience and at least one case taken through verdict or eve-of-trial settlement is a major plus
