Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk - Temporary

About the Role

This is a temporary Payroll & A/P Clerk position with an expected duration of approximately 3 to 4 months. The primary function of this role is to perform or cross-train in all accounting functions related to revenue and payment cycles within the organization.

The successful candidate will manage the accurate and timely processing of 52 weekly payroll batches annually, including the reconciliation of payroll taxes and employee benefits such as 401(k) and medical plans. The role also involves processing certified payroll reports, verifying cost accounting for payments, and reconciling monthly vendor statements. Additionally, the position supports the monthly accounting close by assisting with billings and trial balance reconciliations.

Experience in the construction industry, specifically electrical construction, and knowledge of construction payroll and job costing are highly beneficial. The role requires a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), general ledger accounting, and the ability to communicate financial reports clearly.
