This position is integral to our patient care delivery team, serving as a vital support to physicians and nursing staff. You will be responsible for a blend of clinical and organizational tasks that ensure the smooth operation of patient rooms and the continuity of care. Your day will involve assisting with patient care, obtaining and documenting vital signs, and gathering medical histories. You will aid in the movement and placement of patients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
In this role, you will also coordinate the logistical aspects of patient care, such as ordering appropriate x-rays, Physical Therapy, MRI, and CT scans as delegated by the nursing staff or physician. Maintaining a clean, orderly, and fully stocked patient environment is a key part of your responsibilities, alongside observing universal precautions and proper lifting techniques to prevent injury. You will play a direct role in assisting physicians with med/surg procedures and coordinating referrals to other medical services.
