This position is designed to support physicians and the care team by managing essential patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. You will be the frontline partner in delivering high-quality care, responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, and gathering medical histories. Your role involves assisting with the movement and placement of patients, ensuring patient rooms remain clean, orderly, and fully stocked, and coordinating referrals and consultations as delegated by nursing staff or physicians.
In this role, you will observe universal precautions and proper lifting techniques to ensure safety for both patients and staff. You will assist physicians with med/surg procedures and help coordinate the patient journey by securing necessary services such as x-rays, physical therapy, MRIs, and CT scans. Success in this position requires the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and to perform physical tasks including lifting over 20 pounds.
