Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead drivers to exceed productivity goals and expectations for all routes
- check_circleCreate, modify, and improve routes to maximize density and improve efficiency
- check_circleReduce route hours through service conversions and container upsizing
- check_circleOversee safety and accident prevention programs to ensure a safe work environment
- check_circlePartner with maintenance to ensure all equipment remains in working order
- check_circlePerform daily route vehicle inspections and review operational documentation
- check_circleConduct daily shift safety briefings at company depots
- check_circleConduct on-the-scene incident investigations and assist in preparing accident reports
Requirements
- verifiedValid driver's license
- verified3+ years of experience in transportation supervision or similar lead role
- verifiedProficient knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- verifiedExtensive knowledge of New York City roads and highways
- verifiedNo disqualifying violations on MVR
- verifiedFluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills
- verifiedIntermediate Word and Excel skills
- verifiedIntermediate MS Outlook skills
- verifiedIntermediate verbal and written communication skills
