This position serves as a vital frontline resource within our healthcare facility, directly supporting the patient experience through a blend of clerical, cashiering, and patient attending duties. The role exists to ensure optimum service delivery, acting as the primary point of contact for patients, members, and visitors. You will be responsible for acknowledging everyone in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner, setting the tone for their interaction with our organization.
In this capacity, you will navigate the intersection of financial compliance and patient care. You will verify health plan coverage, explain complex financial provisions such as co-payments and deductibles, and manage cash handling functions with strict adherence to SOX compliance policies. Beyond financial transactions, you will serve as a clerical hub, routing medical documents, maintaining accurate patient charts, and managing appointment scheduling. The role requires a high degree of adaptability, as you will often be the first to identify and resolve customer service issues or complaints, escalating complex matters to leadership only when necessary.
You will collaborate closely with the team, leadership, and various committees to design and implement process improvements. As a key contact for staff, you will assist in resolving operational concerns and helping to develop strategies that maintain high standards of quality and service. The environment values detail-oriented problem solvers who can effectively balance multiple priorities while fostering a supportive atmosphere for both patients and colleagues.
