Baystate Health's Vascular Surgery Outcomes Program is a high-volume, high-complexity service line with a strong reputation for outcomes excellence. The team fosters multidisciplinary collaboration across regional and national partners to maintain high-quality data submission and performance improvement for a complex surgical population.
This Outcomes Nurse (RN) role is essential to supporting participation in a nationally recognized vascular registry program. You will serve as a clinical leader within the Outcomes team, ensuring compliance with CMS-mandated and accreditation-related reporting requirements, including those tied to carotid interventions and stroke prevention initiatives.
In this position, you will partner with vascular surgeons, physician champions, and service line leaders to drive improvements in documentation and patient outcomes. Your day-to-day involves reviewing patient charts, abstracting clinical data, and validating data accuracy and integrity. You will collaborate with Health Care Quality, Peer Review Committees, and Health Information Management to stay informed on evolving standards in vascular surgery and stroke prevention care. Additionally, you will prepare and present benchmark and outcomes reports to leadership, identifying negative trends and supporting clinical research initiatives through registry data analysis.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) operating Monday–Friday during business hours, with some flexibility. The role utilizes a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.
