R. H. Hummer Jr., Inc. was established in 1982. We are a common and contract carrier primarily operating within a 700-mile radius of Eastern Iowa, transporting to all 48 states. We proudly run newer equipment for power units, vans, flatbeds, and drop decks.
About the Role
This position is for a Company Driver (W2, Solo) operating a Dry Van on Over-The-Road (OTR) routes. Drivers can expect an average of 2,200 to 3,000 miles per week. The role includes a 33% driver load/unload responsibility.
Compensation & Incentives
We offer a competitive pay structure with a total weekly average of $900 to $1,500. New hires are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus, as well as driver referral bonuses and safety bonuses.
Home Time
Drivers can expect to be out for 10 days at a time, though staying out longer is an option. The schedule is designed to provide 2 days of home time for every 10 days worked, ensuring drivers are home for at least two weekends per month.
