Located in the Ninth & Jefferson building across from Harborview Medical Center, the Foot & Ankle Center provides consultation and surgical treatment for complex foot and ankle reconstruction. The team handles a broad spectrum of conditions, including arthritis, deformities, genetic anomalies, sports injuries, and traumatic injuries. In addition to surgical care, the department offers podiatry services and non-surgical treatments.
As an Orthopaedic Technician II, you will serve as a vital partner to physicians in delivering high-quality care for complex cases. Your day will involve assisting with intricate procedures such as casting, arthroscopic surgeries, and the removal of pins and external fixators. You will monitor patient conditions following casting, recognizing emergent issues and providing telephone triage for cast-related problems. Beyond clinical support, you will act as a liaison between patients, their families, and providers, ensuring clear communication and compassionate care. The role also includes preparing exam rooms, managing durable medical supply inventory, and assisting with patient transport.
