About the Role
An upbeat orthodontic practice in Houston is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join the team. This position offers the flexibility of part-time or full-time work, with a schedule ranging from two to four days per week. The ideal candidate will be a licensed RDA who is fluent in Spanish, as language proficiency is a mandatory requirement for this role.
In this position, you will be the face of the practice, ensuring that the patient experience remains the top priority. Your day will involve partnering closely with the staff to resolve patient concerns and questions efficiently. You will fully assist the Orthodontist in the treatment process, taking x-rays, recording medical histories, and monitoring vital signs as needed. A key part of your mission is to make patients feel comfortable before, during, and after their dental treatments.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play an educational role by providing patients with instructions for oral care and teaching appropriate hygiene strategies to improve or maintain their oral health. You will also manage the operatory setup and breakdown, sterilize instruments, and ensure all facilities and equipment comply with hygiene and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
