About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our team supporting the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE) program. In this role, you will help improve and sustain complex training and simulation software used by the Joint Staff J7. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on modernizing systems, reducing technical debt, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Your day-to-day will involve identifying and prioritizing technical debt across the codebase, refactoring legacy and high-complexity code to improve maintainability, and expanding automated testing. You will work closely with feature teams to plan and execute improvement initiatives, conduct research to support system architecture, and analyze user needs to solve technical challenges. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and security of the virtual environment training courses that prepare our warfighters.
