Trying Together is a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting high-quality care and education for young children. Our mission is to advocate for the needs and rights of children, their families, and the adults who interact with them by providing community resources and professional growth opportunities.
We are a fast-paced organization seeking dedicated and passionate staff who bring positivity and a solution-oriented sensibility to their work. We encourage our team, partners, and communities to interact compassionately and honor the diverse cultures, ideas, and identities that root each person. We believe that children develop and learn by example; therefore, we strive to create early learning environments that reflect just actions, equitable opportunities, diverse representation, and inclusive approaches. These environments foster healthier interactions and build relationships that enable children to thrive.
Trying Together is an equal-opportunity employer. We do not discriminate and actively encourage qualified candidates of any gender, race, class, sexual orientation, faith, disability, or age to apply. All candidates will be evaluated on a merit basis.
The Operations Manager serves as a strategic partner to the Director of Administration, exercising sound judgment to design, oversee, and optimize the organization's infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring maximum organizational effectiveness and fiscal efficiency by managing office operations, facilities, and high-level administrative strategies.
In this capacity, you will work collaboratively across departments to meet our mission. You will be expected to actively participate in professional growth opportunities to further your commitment to racial equity and inclusion, helping to create a culture of belonging. A key part of your day will involve disrupting practices that do not honor the humanity of children, families, educators, and colleagues. You will utilize the NeonCRM platform to build relationships with constituents and support continuous quality improvement. Whether managing the logistics of our two physical office locations, overseeing vendor relationships, or supporting the annual audit process, you will be the backbone of our operational success.
Interested candidates are invited to apply. Please note that all required clearances (Act 33, Act 34, Act 73, and NSOR) and a valid driver's license are prerequisites for the role. Successful candidates will be expected to complete Mandated Reporter Training within the first month of placement and NeonCRM training within the first three months.
