About the Program
TriStar Health is seeking motivated nurses for our Operating Room Nurse Internship within Healthcare & Medical Services. This structured program is designed to provide comprehensive classroom, simulation, and precepted clinical experience to develop your perioperative nursing skills. Working alongside experienced OR teams, you will support pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, uphold sterile technique, and ensure patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide safe, compassionate care to surgical patients under RN preceptor supervision
- check_circleAssist with pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient assessments and documentation
- check_circleSupport circulating and scrub nurses in maintaining sterile field and room readiness
- check_circleAdminister medications and monitor patient status following protocols and supervision
- check_circleCollaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and team members to ensure quality outcomes
- check_circleFollow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital regulatory standards
- check_circleParticipate in classroom, simulation, and on-the-job training throughout the internship
- check_circleEngage in ongoing performance feedback, skills checklists, and competency evaluations
Requirements
- verifiedCurrent RN license or eligibility to obtain in state of practice
- verifiedBLS certification
- verifiedACLS certification (or obtained within internship period)
- verifiedPrevious clinical rotation or experience in perioperative/OR setting preferred
