About the Department

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida (USF) is recruiting a Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join an established academic team. The Division provides comprehensive maternal-fetal care with a broad clinical scope, including labor and delivery, antepartum services, obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and perinatal consultation.

We maintain an active and growing fetal therapy program featuring laser therapy and in-utero surgical procedures. The team also manages pregnancies complicated by placenta accreta and other complex medical and surgical conditions, including cardio-obstetrics. Our primary clinic is located at 2 Tampa General Circle, Tampa, FL 33606.

About the Role

This position offers a dynamic blend of clinical practice, medical education, and research. Clinical activities are complemented by opportunities to participate in statewide perinatal quality collaborative initiatives. Most Division members are actively engaged in clinical/translational research or innovative clinical programs aligned with their interests.

As an academic physician, you will serve as a vital educator within our ACGME-accredited MFM Fellowship and our robust OB/GYN residency program, which includes 24 residents. You will be responsible for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows through lectures, rounds, and clinical activities in patient offices, labor and delivery, and the operating room. The role also involves academic advising and representing the university, college, or department.

Our primary affiliate, Tampa General Hospital (TGH), boasts more than 6,200 deliveries annually and features an 82-bed Level IV NICU.
