The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is an expanding team of more than 50 physicians and researchers dedicated to Women's Health. MUSC Health has earned a national ranking as one of the top 20 hospitals for Obstetrics & Gynecology by U.S. News & World Report (2023-2024). The department operates within a state-of-the-art environment, supported by the Charles P. Darby Children's Research Institute, the largest pediatric research facility in the Carolinas.
In 2020, the department moved into the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital and Pearl Tourville Women's Pavilion, a 100,000-square-foot facility transforming the delivery of fetal, women's, and children's care in the Lowcountry.
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology clinician-educator to join our vibrant team in Charleston, SC. This role offers a pivotal opportunity to educate the next generation of physician leaders while enhancing access to specialized care for high-risk OB/GYN patients in Charleston and the surrounding regions.
You will engage in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows, shaping the future of the specialty. The position features a customizable clinic schedule tailored to your professional needs, with approximately one day per month of Labor & Delivery coverage, four weeks of annual inpatient coverage, and two days per month of OR time for GYN surgery cases. The department is supported by subspecialists in GYN Oncology, Urogynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI), and utilizes the EPIC medical record platform.
