The OBGYN practice in Athens is a well-established, hospital-employed team characterized by a supportive environment. Physicians work alongside experienced laborists who manage the labor and delivery unit 24/7, allowing for minimal interruption of office, surgical, or personal time while still offering the opportunity to attend deliveries. The team includes skilled midlevels, excellent staff, and a robust support system featuring two Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) who handle first OB visits and routine prenatal care, as well as a skilled PA surgical assistant for major and minor procedures. The group also provides robust services for medical addiction therapy and employs two family navigators to support patients requiring social services.
About the Role
This position offers a unique balance of high surgical volume and patient engagement within a loyal patient base. Physicians in this group benefit from a 1:5 call schedule with gyn call, while the 24/7 laborist coverage ensures that delivery attendance is optional. The role is supported by the Epic EMR System and includes access to the OhioHealth Physician Leadership Institute and Development Curriculum, reflecting a leadership approach that offers system-wide support for all providers.
