About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Obstetrician/Gynecologist Generalist to join our OB/GYN team, split between New Milford and Sharon Hospitals in Connecticut. This position offers a unique blend of outpatient and inpatient care. You will spend your office hours at the New Milford OBGYN outpatient clinic and take call shifts at Sharon Hospital.
Call shifts are shared among four physicians and can be managed from home, with a strict requirement to respond to the site within 30 minutes. These shifts involve rounding on patients. The role is designed for a physician who thrives in a community setting while being part of a larger, robust academic and clinical system.
About the Locations
New Milford Hospital is an 85-bed community hospital serving the greater Litchfield County area for nearly a century. It features a state-of-the-art, 11,000-square-foot 'green' Emergency Department with private patient rooms and a brand-new Women's Health Center on campus.
Sharon Hospital is a 78-bed general hospital in northwestern Connecticut. It provides a full range of services including bariatric surgery, cardiology, emergency care, neurosciences, orthopedics, stroke care, and surgical services. The Labor and Delivery unit is a dedicated space seeing between 150-200 births annually, where our team is committed to providing compassionate, individualized healthcare.
