About the Team
The Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is dedicated to advancing women's health through excellence in clinical care, education, and research. We seek a dynamic Generalist to join our academic medical team as an Instructor or Assistant Professor. This role is designed for a clinician committed to high-quality, patient-centered care who thrives in a collaborative environment with faculty, fellows, residents, and students.
About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the core missions of our division while providing comprehensive, evidence-based obstetric and gynecologic care. You will work across both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing labor and delivery, routine and high-risk prenatal care, and performing office-based and operative procedures. As a key member of the team, you will participate in call coverage at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) and assist in establishing clinical protocols for obstetric services.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of physicians. You will supervise and teach OB/GYN residents and medical students in the labor and delivery unit, operating room, and outpatient clinics. Your educational impact will extend to providing lectures, participating in Grand Rounds, mentoring trainees, and training nurses, sonographers, and other personnel involved in obstetric services.
You will also engage in scholarly activities aligned with departmental and institutional goals, including research, clinical studies, and quality improvement initiatives. This role requires active participation in departmental meetings, hospital committees, and institutional initiatives to help advance the mission of the medical school and health system.
