The Role

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Medicine team in North Florida. This opportunity arises due to regional expansion, offering positions in both hospital-based and free-standing emergency department settings. The department environments. The role involves collaborative physician oversight, with a coverage model consisting of 70% physician and 30% APC (APC).

Day in the Life

You will manage a patient volume of approximately 1.5 to 2 patients per hour. The patient population is primarily underserved and non-urban, ranging from young families to retirees. Key clinical competencies include laceration repairs, incision and drainage (I&D), foreign body removal, and full eye exams. Note that this facility does not have a trauma designation.

Support and Technology

Our team is supported by advanced technology and dedicated staff to enhance efficiency and care quality. We utilize the Epic EMR system, integrated with PACS, Dragon dictation, and an AI scribe. Additional support includes an AI scribe, a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC/unit secretary), and Technicians for splints and IVs.

Specialty Backup

Specialty backup is available through our hospital partners, including General Surgery, most Surgical Specialists, Anesthesia, and OBGYN. Specific backup details include:

• DTWN: Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Electrophysiology (EP), and Ophthalmology.
• FSED: Respiratory Therapy (RT) available 24/7 with a physician on-site.
