Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide daily leadership and operational oversight for an inpatient nursing unit to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
- check_circleSupervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including participation in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
- check_circleDevelop and manage staffing plans and schedules based on patient acuity and census to ensure appropriate skill mix and coverage
- check_circleCoordinate and collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to optimize patient flow and clinical outcomes
- check_circleLead and participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives using data and evidence-based practices to drive outcomes
- check_circleEnsure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory and accreditation standards, and infection prevention and safety protocols
- check_circleMonitor unit-level performance metrics, patient satisfaction scores, and staff engagement, and implement action plans for improvement
- check_circleAssist with budget planning, resource allocation, and management of equipment and supplies for cost-effective operations
- check_circleSupport ongoing staff education, competency validation, and professional development, promoting a culture of learning and excellence

Requirements
- verifiedActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (or compact state with eligibility to practice in MO)
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- verifiedDemonstrated leadership experience in an acute care setting
- verifiedExperience with quality improvement and regulatory readiness initiatives
Nice to Have
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field. Nurse Executive certification (e.g., NE-BC, NEA-BC).
