Paragon is dedicated to lowering the carbon footprint through innovative nuclear programs that are safe, sustainable, and economical. Our team supports critical energy and national security applications through excellence in engineering, responsiveness, and integrity. We operate with a shared set of values, staying persistent in solving challenges, collaborating with purpose, and approaching every project with technical passion and professionalism.
As a Development Operations Engineer, you will support the development, verification, configuration management, cybersecurity controls, and lifecycle maintenance of FPGA-based products used in nuclear safety-related applications. This role is critical for maintaining a Secure Development and Operational Environment (SDOE) in strict accordance with nuclear cybersecurity requirements such as NRC Regulatory Guide 5.71, NEI 08-09, and plant-specific defensive architecture policies.
In this position, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering workflows and rigorous compliance standards. You will develop internal tools, evaluate external software, and improve workflows to ensure they meet nuclear-quality obligations like auditability, reproducibility, and configuration control. Your work will directly impact the reliability of our safety systems by managing defect resolution and maintaining audit-ready documentation aligned with standards including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, IEC 61508, and ASME NQA-1.
If you are looking for a technically challenging role with purpose, professional growth, and the opportunity to support national security and energy reliability, we would love to hear from you. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in a high-stakes environment where your contributions ensure the safety and efficiency of critical infrastructure.
