About the Role
Be the first line of defense for a platform millions of Veterans depend on! As an NOC Analyst, you will provide 24/7 eyes‑on‑glass monitoring, service request intake, and initial incident response across mission‑critical applications supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The NOC Analyst provides round‑the‑clock monitoring, alert triage, severity classification, and service request intake ensuring Critical and High priority requests are acknowledged within mandated response times.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMonitor dashboards and alerting tools 24/7 to detect production issues
- check_circleAcknowledge and process service requests through Jira within mandated times
- check_circleDocument initial incident conditions and support incident ticket creation
- check_circleTrack production and staging availability metrics for SLA reporting
- check_circleParticipate in shift handoff procedures to ensure continuity of awareness
- check_circleInitiate coordination calls and notify leadership for Critical and High issues
- check_circleEscalate Critical and High severity issues to on-call SREs and managers
- check_circleTriage alerts and classify severity for incoming service requests
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor’s Degree in information technology or related field
- verified3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) and 24/7 IT operations environment
- verifiedCompTIA A+ or Network+ certification (preferred)
- verifiedActive Federal Civilian Public Trust clearance
- verifiedU.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident that has lived in the United States for at least 3 years
- verifiedExperience supporting federal government programs and enterprise-scale applications operating in cloud-based or hybrid environments
- verifiedWorking knowledge of basic cloud platform concepts, Kubernetes terminology, and AWS service names
