About the Role
The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Transylvania Regional Hospital is a year-long initiative designed to bridge the gap between academic study and professional practice. This program provides a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents to shepherd you through the transition from student nurse to registered nurse.
As a Resident Graduate Nurse, you will be surrounded by a culture that promotes learning, clinical application, and socialization. The program equips you with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment through a formalized series of learning experiences, including advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship, and hands-on simulations. You will work collaboratively on an evidence-based practice project while receiving mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.
In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with the scope and standards of practice for your state and specialty. Using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," you will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to support an unparalleled patient experience.

Requirements
- verifiedAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- verifiedRegistered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
- verifiedBasic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
