About the Role

The HCA Nurse Residency Program is a year-long initiative designed to shepherd new graduates through the critical transition from student nurse to registered nurse. This program provides a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents to foster learning, clinical application, and professional socialization.

As a Resident Graduate Nurse, you will be surrounded by a culture that invests in your growth. The program offers hands-on experience to establish valuable clinical and critical thinking skills through advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, and preceptorship with facility mentors. You will work collaboratively on evidence-based practice projects and engage in hands-on simulations to measure and evaluate your skills.

In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with state and specialty standards. Using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," you will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers. Your day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, performing procedures as ordered, and translating complex medical terminology to ensure patients and families fully understand their treatment plans.
