At LewisGale Medical Center, our "care like family" culture extends to our patients, our people, and our community. We believe that when we join together, our patients are cared for in the safest and most compassionate way. HCA Healthcare, our parent organization, has been recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times and has spent an estimated $3.7 billion on charitable care and uncompensated expenses.
As Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr., HCA Healthcare Co-Founder, stated: "Bricks and mortar do not make a hospital. People do."
The HCA Healthcare Residency Program is a year-long initiative designed to support the transition from student nurse to registered nurse. This program provides a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents to foster learning, clinical application, and socialization.
As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you will be surrounded by a team dedicated to your growth. The program offers hands-on experience to help establish valuable clinical and critical thinking skills through advanced clinical training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, and mentoring from experienced nurse leaders. You will also collaborate on an evidence-based practice project and participate in skills measurement through hands-on simulations.
In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with the scope and standards of practice for your state and specialty. Working in collaboration with medical providers and the care team, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models. You will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to support an unparalleled patient experience.
