UPMC Neurosciences Institute in Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg, PA, is expanding its clinical services in central Pennsylvania. The institute operates as a nationally recognized leader in providing high-quality, patient-centered health care to over 1.2 million area residents yearly. As part of the UPMC Pinnacle health system, the team includes over 2,900 physicians and allied health professionals across seven acute care hospitals and more than 160 outpatient clinics.
Our physicians and advanced practice providers utilize a team-based approach to patient care. This model is designed to improve patient satisfaction, ensure long-term positive outcomes, and foster a supportive work environment. The role offers full specialty support, including neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, and certified neuroscience nurses, with additional resources available through the UPMC Neurosciences Institute in Pittsburgh.
As a Movement Disorder Specialist, you will play an integral role in providing high-quality, compassionate care while expanding clinical services in the region. This position combines general neurology with the opportunity to establish a specialized interest in neurodiagnostic or procedural services. You will primarily work in an outpatient office in Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg, while also supporting inpatient services at UPMC Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg hospitals.
The role offers a strong referral base of patients within the community and includes teaching opportunities such as IM student rotations, medical school rotations, and occasional lectures. You will have access to neurodiagnostic technicians to assist with EEGs and EMGs.
