The University of Pittsburgh, in partnership with the Pittsburgh Institute for Multiple Sclerosis Care and Research and UPMC Medical Education, is pleased to offer fellowships for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applications are accepted through January 31, 2026.
We offer opportunities in Clinical Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis, as well as a single ACGME-accredited Neuromuscular fellowship. Additionally, we provide a NeuroOncology fellowship for 2026-2027, featuring an optional second research year for interested candidates. Our program is designed to provide a balanced training experience that integrates structured didactics, scholarly activities, and clinical practice. We place a special emphasis on career development and subspecialty board preparation, ensuring fellows can balance professional growth with enjoying life in Pittsburgh.
We are also launching a Women's Neurology fellowship beginning July 2026. This program offers specialized training at the intersection of neurological disorders and women's health across the lifespan. It is designed to follow directly after neurology residency or to be integrated before or after other neurological subspecialty fellowships. Fellows will train alongside top experts, including Division Chief Dr. Eliza Miller, Chair of Neurology Dr. Page Pennell, and Fellowship Director Dr. Angela O'Neal. Training takes place within an integrated multidisciplinary setting at Magee-Womens Hospital, where over 10,000 deliveries occur annually. We support career development with up to 50% protected time for research for qualified candidates pursuing a clinical research track, and elective time is tailored to individual clinical and research interests.
