McLeod Health is expanding an established Neurology program in North Myrtle Beach, SC, one of the fastest-growing counties in the country. This position serves as a key specialist within the region's most comprehensive clinically integrated network. McLeod Health is committed to improving the overall health of patients across its 15-county referral area, serving over 1.5 million patients.
About McLeod Health Seacoast
As the second-largest hospital in the McLeod Health system, McLeod Health Seacoast is a major anchor for the organization. Recent expansions include a four-story bed tower, a new Emergency Department, a five-room Fast Track area, state-of-the-art operating rooms, and an expanded same-day services suite. The 155-bed facility offers advanced diagnostic imaging, including MRI, 3D mammography, and nuclear medicine. The campus hosts more than 200 physicians representing over 38 specialties.
In 2025, McLeod Health will open the first comprehensive Cancer Center in Horry County on this campus, featuring medical oncology, infusion services, and radiation oncology under one roof.
About McLeod Health Carolina Forest
McLeod Health Carolina Forest, located in Myrtle Beach, is a 43-acre campus designed as a seven-building complex offering a wide variety of physician practices and outpatient services. The campus currently includes a free-standing Emergency Department and Surgical Center (opening February 2025). Construction is underway on a 48-bed hospital, anticipated to open in 2026, which will be the first new hospital built in Horry County since 2011. This facility will house operating suites, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory services to serve the growing population of Horry County and the Grand Strand area.
About the Role
You will join an established Neurology practice split between two locations: McLeod Health Seacoast and McLeod Health Carolina Forest. This new position is based at the McLeod Health Seacoast practice location.
The role offers a strong work/life balance with a practice-only model. There is no inpatient responsibility and no stroke call. You will join a team of three established Neurologist physicians and one dedicated Advanced Practice Provider, supported by a strong referral system. Practice hours are Monday through Thursday, with early closure on Fridays.
