Hospitalist - Neurology Physician
Enterprise Medical Recruiting is partnering with a large, physician-led multispecialty group to recruit a Neurohospitalist for their expanding inpatient neurology program in Austin, Texas. This position offers an ideal opportunity for neurologists seeking a predictable schedule, competitive compensation, and the potential for additional income through optional tele-neurology services.
Opportunity Highlights
- Qualifications: Seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologists. Fellowship training in Stroke, Neurocritical Care, or Neurophysiology is welcomed but not mandatory.
- Experience Level: Open to both new graduates and experienced practitioners.
- Practice Setting: 100% inpatient neurology focus.
- Schedule: Seven-on, seven-off rotation with 182 shifts annually. Flexible scheduling options are available.
- Shift Details: Primarily 10-hour shifts, including overnight phone coverage and tele-neurology support.
- Environment: Collaborative practice with strong support from the hospital and specialists.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $375,000 in the first year, increasing to $400,000 beginning in year two.
- Additional Income: Extra shifts beyond the full-time schedule are compensated at $2,000 per shift.
- Sign-On Bonus: $25,000 sign-on bonus, with potential for additional hospital incentives.
- Ancillary Income: Optional tele-neurology coverage provides significant additional earning potential.
- CME Allowance: Annual allowance of $1,500.
- Insurance & Licenses: Employer-paid malpractice insurance. DEA registration, Texas medical license, and medical staff dues are covered.
