I2X Technologies is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Odenton, MD. This is an on-site position designed for professionals ready to bridge the gap between operations and engineering. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational readiness for new solutions deployed into production, working closely with network architects to define and improve configuration baselines. The role involves leading the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), while supporting continuous service improvements and system performance tuning. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert knowledge on large-scale enterprise network solutions and participate in high-level engineering meetings to drive the transition to Network Operations.
Candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance and be a US Citizen. Due to the nature of the work supporting Federal agencies and the Department of Defense, all applicants will be subject to rigorous background verification. Please note that this position requires on-site presence in Odenton, MD, and may involve up to 10% OCONUS travel.

Extensive SME level knowledge of network engineering and operations, integration, test and evaluation activities, as well as implementation and transition to Network Operations processes and concepts. Cisco CCNP Route/Switch and/or CCNP Security certification. Experience and practical understanding of enterprise WAN principles. Experience with change, configuration and performance management NetOps concepts. IAT Level III Certification (i.e. CISSP or equivalent).
Skills: Top Secret Clearance, Security+, Dod 8570 Iat LVL Ii, Defense-In-Depth, Network Architecture, Security Architecture, Network Topology, MPLS, VPNS, BGP.
Education: Masters required with 2-6 years experience or equivalent.
