About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Network Security Engineer / Systems Administrator to join our team. This role is designed for a professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience managing Linux, Windows, and cloud-based environments. The position covers a broad spectrum of infrastructure responsibilities, including server administration, network security, database management, containerization, and performance optimization across both on-premises and cloud systems.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Docker container management skills and expertise in securing automated deployment and migration pipelines. You will ensure that our infrastructure remains both secure and efficient from the development phase through to production. This is a remote position based in Houston, TX.
Key Focus Areas
Your work will involve managing multi-platform environments with top-tier security and performance optimization. You will administer AWS and Azure cloud environments, secure Docker deployments, and integrate protections within CI/CD pipelines. As a leader in end-to-end security, you will drive compliance, incident response, and hardening strategies across servers, networks, and databases.
The role requires a balance of technical depth and strategic oversight, ensuring that all systems are maintained for optimal performance, uptime, and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- verified8+ years administering Linux and Windows environments
- verifiedBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- verifiedProven experience in server hardening and security compliance
- verifiedStrong MySQL/PostgreSQL security, optimization, and backup expertise
- verifiedProficiency with logging/monitoring tools (Graylog, ELK Stack, Splunk, etc.)
